Determining weather you have an early 2001 or late 2001 can be identified by two ways:

•The Production Date of the vehicle..........

            •Found on the Driver's door jam label

                   •Up through 9/00 is early production

                   •From 10/00 is late production

•The type of battery cover your car has..........

            •The early production 2001s just the top cover comes off the battery

            •The later production 2001s the battery cover consists of the top, front and sides as one piece.

Note, if your battery cover is missing please determine your model by the production date found on the driver's door jam label.
